Employee Portal — User Manual
A step-by-step guide for employees on using the HR portal.
1
Installing the App on Your Phone
The portal works as a Progressive Web App (PWA) — you can install it on your home screen just like a regular app, with no app store required.
Android (Chrome)
-
1
Open Chrome on your Android device and go to:
https://hr.md-officesupport.com
-
2
A banner will appear at the bottom of the screen saying "Add HR Portal to Home Screen". Tap Install.
-
3
If the banner doesn't appear, tap the three-dot menu (⋮) in the top-right corner of Chrome and select "Add to Home Screen".
-
4
Tap Add on the confirmation prompt. The app icon will appear on your home screen.
The app opens full-screen without the browser address bar, just like a native app.
iPhone / iPad (Safari)
-
1
Open Safari (not Chrome) and go to:
https://hr.md-officesupport.com
-
2
Tap the Share button at the bottom of the screen (or top-right on iPad).
-
3
Scroll down in the share sheet and tap "Add to Home Screen".
-
4
Tap Add in the top-right corner. The app icon appears on your home screen.
On iPhone, you must use Safari. Installing from Chrome or Firefox on iOS is not supported.
2
How to Log In
-
1
Open the app (or visit
https://hr.md-officesupport.com) — you will be taken to the login page.
-
2
Enter your Email Address and Password provided by HR.
-
3
Tap or click "Login".
-
4
You will be redirected to your Dashboard.
If you forgot your password, contact your HR Administrator to reset it. Self-service password reset is not available.
3
Your Dashboard Overview
After logging in, your dashboard shows:
- Today's Attendance — your clock-in and clock-out times for today.
- QR Code / Scan button — used to record your attendance (see Section 4).
- Leave Balance — how many leave days you have remaining.
- Announcements — company-wide notices from HR.
- "Fix My Time" button — appears when attendance cannot be recorded, to submit a correction request.
4
Recording Attendance (QR Scan)
Attendance is recorded by scanning a QR code. There are two modes depending on how your company is set up:
Mode A — Scan the Kiosk QR
A shared QR code is displayed on a kiosk screen or monitor at the office entrance.
- 1On your dashboard, tap "Scan Kiosk QR".
- 2Allow camera access if prompted.
- 3Point your camera at the QR code shown on the office kiosk screen.
- 4A success message will appear confirming your time-in or time-out.
Mode B — Show Your QR to the Kiosk
Each employee has a personal QR code. The kiosk scans your code.
- 1On your dashboard, tap "Show My QR".
- 2Your personal QR code will appear on screen.
- 3Hold your phone up to the kiosk scanner.
- 4The kiosk will beep/confirm and your attendance is recorded.
You can only clock in once per day. A second scan will be blocked. If you scanned by accident or at the wrong time, use the Time Correction feature (Section 5).
5
Requesting a Time Correction
If your time-in or time-out was recorded incorrectly, you can submit a correction request. An admin will review and approve it before any change is applied.
How to Open the Correction Form
- After a blocked scan: A "Fix My Time" button appears on the dashboard. Tap it.
- After a successful scan: A toast notification appears with a "Scanned at the wrong time? Request a correction" link for 10 seconds. Tap it.
- Anytime: Tap the "Fix My Time" button that appears when your scan is blocked.
Filling in the Request
-
1
Choose what you want to request by tapping one of the four options:
- Update Time In — change your clock-in time to the correct one.
- Update Time Out — change your clock-out time to the correct one.
- Remove Time In — delete a clock-in that was recorded by mistake.
- Remove Time Out — delete a clock-out that was recorded by mistake.
-
2
Confirm the Date (it is pre-filled automatically).
-
3
If you chose Update Time In or Update Time Out, enter the correct time in the time field that appears.
-
4
Type a brief Reason explaining what happened (e.g. "Accidentally scanned too early").
-
5
Tap "Submit Request". You will see a confirmation message.
Your attendance record is not changed immediately. The request is sent to your admin for review. You will see the result once it is approved or rejected.
What Happens Next?
- Your request status will be Pending until an admin reviews it.
- If Approved, your attendance record is updated automatically.
- If Rejected, your original record remains and the admin may add a remark explaining why.
